Community Outreach Fellowship

This fellowship is designed for college students interested in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, public relations, marketing, or business development. Fellows serve as ambassadors for the organization by building relationships with local businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, and community partners.  

Duration

• 12-16 Weeks
• 8-15 hours per week (mostly flexible schedule)

Ideal Candidates

• College students (18+)
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable speaking with community members
• Interest in nonprofit management, public relations, communications, or business

  Responsibilities 

• Visit local businesses to introduce the nonprofit
• Deliver informational materials and sponsorship packets
• Recruit volunteers and community partners
• Represent the nonprofit at community events
• Attend networking meetings and chamber events
• Identify potential sponsors and donors
• Coordinate donation drives
• Schedule presentations with schools, churches, and civic groups
• Document outreach activities using CRM or spreadsheets
• Capture photos and testimonials from community partners
• Assist with event promotion
